13 May 2016. Kathmandu Don Bosco College (KDBC) organized a Job Mela in its premises to facilitate employers to search for the right candidates for the jobs available. Organizations including commercial bank, INGO and a number of reputed business organizations interviewed potential MBA and EMBA students of KDBC. Mr. Shekhar Golchha, Vice President of FNCCI and Executive Director of Golchha Organization inaugurated the job mela and shared about the immense possibilites of Nepal and the status of the Nepalese industry. Mr. Golchha appreciated the efforts of KDBC in organizing an event which brought industries in the college premises.
Prof. Dr. Krishna Poudel, Head, Department of Accounting and Finance, Strathclyde Business School, UK, shared his perspectives on the immense job possibilities in the international market provided, the job-seekers are qualified and competent. Dr. Poudel expressed the interest of Strathclyde University to work in partnership with KDBC. Mr. Kapil Dev Regmi, Executive Director of KDBC, while welcoming the guests, hoped that KDBC’s graduates would not remain unemployed as they have gained the necessary knowledge and learnt the needed skills during their studies in KDBC. The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. Sriram B. Mathe, Chairman of KDBC, who emphasized the need for quality and holistic education, including value-based education. He highlighted on the importance of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and hoped that KDBC graduates will not only to be entrepreneurial and innovative but also be people of integrity and character by being ethical in their business practices.
The job mela was organized in partnership with Mero Job. Mr. Sailendra Raj Giri, Managing Director, assured that his institution will work round the year for the placement of KDBC students. Prior to the job mela, the students were trained for job interviews and resume writing. Century Bank, Suyash International, Shanker Group and other business houses were some of the institutions, which interviewed the students for job placement.Photo Gallery
