On 24 September 2016, students had a wonderful opportunity to interact with one of the renowned entrepreneur and business leader of the country. Mr. Hari Bhakta Sharma, who is presently the President of CNI (Confederation of Nepalese Industries) and Executive Director in Deurali - Janta Pharmaceuticals P Ltd., spoke to MBA and EMBA students at KDBC.
In his lecture Mr. Sharma discussed current economic scenario of the country, role of entrepreneurs and managers in development of the country. He also motivated the participants to contribute on their own. He shared his own international experiences including Stanford University which can be reciprocated in our country. He asked students to be true to themselves and believe in their dreams and follow the optimism.
Mr. Sharma opined how and why Western corporations can no longer just rely on the old formula that sustained innovation and growth for decades. Possible emphasis is needed in Research and development for innovation. He urged that we should not be the leaders in beggar’s club rather should work for a developed country. As per him, countries development relies on the overall productivity and argues that we must look to places like India, China, and Africa for a new, bottom-up approach. His sharing on American army to Wal-Mart was incredible.
It was an amazing session and Kathmandu Don Bosco College family is highly grateful for incredible sharing to our students.
