Guest Lecture by Ambassador Bharat Raj Paudyal
On 27 May 2017: Mr. Bharat Raj Paudyal, Spokesperson of Foreign Ministry and former Ambassador to Pakistan and few other countries delivered a special lecture to the MBA and EMBA students on 27 May 2017.
Mr. Paudyal, a Career Diplomat who oversees multilateral affairs of Nepal as the Head of United Nations, International Organizations and International Law Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal in addition to functioning as the official spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry delivered a wonderful session on diplomacy, diplomatic etiquettes and shared his rich job experiences with the students.
Mr. Paudyal expressed his optimism about how Nepal could benefit working together with China and India. Students seem to know more about North Korea’s stand alone position, conflicts in Afghanistan, and Iraq besides ISIS. Most of the countries have their uniqueness which in fact, is their identity. He opined that there are ample opportunities in Nepal and our country has to do a lot. He stated that ‘War is the last resort if every diplomatic attempt fails’ while sharing his experiences about conflicts in various countries. His meetings with President Hamid Karzai of Afganistan and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki of Iraq were heart touching to the students. His efforts in saving Nepali lives were highly appreciated.
