This was the result of the visit by Prof. Dr. Sriram Bhagut Mathe, along with Mr. Kapil Dev Regmi and Ms. Samjhana Kharel to PIM in Oct 2016 to discuss and explore the possibility of joint academic cooperation followed by the visit to Nepal by the PIM delegation.

PIM is Thailand’s first and largest Corporate University. It was established in 2007, under the flagship of CP ALL Public Company Limited, a member of the Charoen Pokphand Group. With the Institute’s retail educational and research emphasis and commitment to producing academically skilled and job-ready graduates, the main approach to teaching and learning at PIM is work-based Education. PIM currently has 9 faculties, and 1 international college. A total of 25 Thai programs, 2 English programs and 2 Chinese programs are currently taught to over 13,000 students with the help of over 900 staffs and lecturers at its Cheangwattana campus.

H.E. Mr. Bhakavat Tanskul, the Ambassador of Thailand to Nepal graced the MoU exchange ceremony. The MoU was exchanged by Prof. Sriram Bhagut Mathe, Chairman of Nepal Education Foundation Consortium of Colleges (NEF-CCN) and Parichart Buakao, representative of PIM. The signed MoU covers the academic collaboration, internship programs, joint research and consultancy, cultural programs as well as exchange of faculty and students. HE Thai Ambassador emphasized the very strong linkage and cooperation between Thailand and Nepal and stated that this MoU signing was another bond of friendship.

Ms. Parichart Buakao expressed her happiness on the signing and hoped that this will result in academic collaboration as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise. Prof. Mathe opined that this MoU will benefit both parties and encourage cooperation and collaboration in both the academic front, including joint academic collaboration and research as well as the entrepreneurial front.
